Sunny lanterns

[Gremlins sometimes get into the player here – if that video doesn’t work, this one will.]

Sunny lanterns is a beautiful photo slideshow video to show off your finest pictures. As you may have guessed, it’s the daytime twin of Lanterns by Night.

  • choose from 16 or 30 photos or videos
  • tell the story of how you met with pictures
  • use it for photos of your wedding day, or a Save the Date video to invite your friends and family

The Music

Music can be your choice – I chose the rather appropriately named Wedding Invitation by Jason Farnham, but you can choose something entirely different. One important note though: it must be a no copyright piece. There’s a huge variety of these, and I recommend starting with YouTube (just search for ‘no copyright music’); other good options are Soundcloud and Ben Sound. (If this seems like daunting process, I can always choose some appropriate music for you.)

Please note: you’ll need a track that’s at least 1 minute 45 seconds long to cover the time of the shorter video.

I’ve also got some background evening insects in the studio for atmosphere – these are optional, and can be asked to leave if you prefer (:

The Introduction

Obviously, your names will be in here.

You can also choose one of these styles, if you prefer:

…or your own floral design / logo / personal touch that I’ll then animate in (if it’s a complex design I may have to charge a little for the animation time, but most designs are possible).

You can also choose to have the date and place here, or any other info you’d like to share.

The photos / videos

This is the fun part for you – choose 10 landscape and 6 portrait photos or videos that best fit the story you want to tell. A couple of general points:

  • make sure they are reasonable quality – whether portrait or landscape, at least 1000 pixels on the long side (windows will usually tell you the dimensions of your photo when you hover your mouse over it)
  • don’t worry if you have more portrait than landscape – send them across and I’ll see if they’re big enough to crop them
  • if you have a preferred order you’d like them to appear in, please number the files in this order

If you’d like the pictures in a specific order, please use the list below to know which is landscape and which is portrait:

The Ending

I’m happy to add some extra text as the camera pans out through the bushes, or another screen after it fades to black, or keep it as it is – it’s up to you. This can be a good place to put details of your wedding, place, time, etc.
